Here's one that no one at Powder had on their 2023 bingo card.

Watch as President Biden shouts out Vail's Epic Pass during a speech at Colorado Springs, Colorado's Air Force Academy graduation on June 1st.

The shout-out makes sense in light of Vail's military programs. The resort conglomerate offers steep deals on Epic Passes for active military members, retired military members, and veterans. Dependents, too, can get in on the heavy discounts.

And, due to Colorado Springs' rocky mountain location, snowsports enthusiast cadets likely frequent Vail's resort offerings in the area, taking advantage of the Epic Military Passes.

Vail resorts within driving distance of Colorado Springs include:

Keystone Resort: 2-hour and 33-minute drive from Colorado Springs.

Vail Ski Resort: 2 hour and 43-minute drive from Colorado Springs.

Breckenridge Ski Resort: 2 hour and 13-minute drive from Colorado Springs.

During the Colorado Springs Air Force Academy graduation ceremony, President Biden made national news by tripping over a sandbag on stage. Aides quickly helped him to his feet after the fall, and he wasn't injured. Later that day at the Whitehouse, the President told reporters that he "got sandbagged!" according to the BBC.
