At this point, celebrity PDA usually involves a thirsty couple quite literally touching tongues on the red carpet, and I’m sorry to say that’s just not Prince William and Kate Middleton’s vibe. Like, as much as I want them to be Travis-Barker-and-Kourtney-Kardashian levels of horny, they’re more on par with my grandparents—but that doesn’t mean they haven’t had a few notable PDA moments in their day…although it’s pretty rare since these two are technically “working” when they make public appearances and therefore conduct themselves professionally.

As royal etiquette expert Myka Meier explained to People, senior royals use their “better judgment” when it comes to public displays of affection and “often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending.” Meaning, sometimes William and Kate are strictly hands-off (remember when she literally shrugged his hand off her shoulder?) and other times they’re doing their best Kravis impression (read: politely linking arms).

And the Cambridges have actually been more affectionate than usual lately, with body-language expert Judi James noting that they have had “a relaxing” of their body-language rituals and are now “much more openly affectionate during their public appearances,” offering some “authentic-looking glimpses of their relationship rather than forcing them to put on a fake performance for the cameras.”

On that note, consider this a “best of” list for William and Kate’s sweetest PDA moments. And please be advised that what you’re about to see is entirely safe for work and perhaps even G-rated.
