What is Halal makeup?

FYI: Just because a brand has Halal-compliant ingredients, it doesn't mean it's automatically Halal-certified. Ghanim explains that in order for a makeup brand to receive legit Halal certification, every step of production and distribution is analyzed to make sure it meets the requirements in full—a process that ends up being pretty lengthy.
