Call me old fashioned, but I have mixed feelings about food delivery apps. The variety is great, and the ability to have fresh food at my door in less than an hour is undeniably convenient, but when all is said and done, the fees and additional charges add up to make it so I’m paying nearly double what I would if I just picked it up myself.

Unfortunately, with my schedule and my workload, picking up food isn’t always an option. That’s why I’m so happy with Walmart+ home grocery delivery. Not only can I have groceries delivered to my house, I can have freshly prepared foods sent too. All I have to do is put in an order, add items to my cart and open the door the next morning to find ready-made meals waiting for me. It’s a huge time saver, especially when I’m crunched with deadlines and don’t have brain space to think about cooking.

Walmart+ is $98 per year or $12.95 per month, and comes with a 30-day free trial. I’m consistently pleased with the quality of the food and the convenience of being able to order home items and toiletries at the same time as groceries. Try it for yourself. You’ll see.

I know I’m in the tiny minority here, but I don’t actually like pumpkin spice all that much. To me, apple is the flavor of fall, and I will eat apples in basically any version, and for any meal. Case in point: these freshly-made apple fritters, which are sweet and cinnamoney and make for the ideal breakfast (or late morning snack, or afternoon snack, or dessert...).

Especially on the weekends, it’s nice to wake up to a hot breakfast — but it’s not so nice to have to spend an hour cooking and cleaning up just to be able to enjoy it. Enter this scrambled egg and sausage breakfast pizza on a biscuit crust. You read that right: biscuit crust.

Rotisserie chicken is the ultimate dinner hack, but what I love so much about it is that you can put it on basically anything for any meal and it works. I didn’t think it was possible, but this pulled rotisserie chicken is even more convenient — it’s already seasoned and shredded, so all I have to do is open the container, toss a few pieces onto lettuce, and I’ve got instant lunch.

This avocado ranch version has black beans, corn, chili-lime seasoned chicken and avocado ranch dressing. Simply open the lid and enjoy. It even comes with a disposable fork if you want to take your lunch break outside.

When I’m too rushed to think about dinner, freshly prepared goods like this spaghetti and meatballs are a lifesaver. Frozen meals just don’t have the same quality, and delivery apps are too expensive. Prepped fresh meals like this mean I’ve got a hot dinner at the ready, and I can still make my deadlines.

I can whip up a quick pasta on the busiest of nights, but even with all the time in the world, as much as I love them, I would never have the patience to make breadsticks from scratch. These ready-to-bake delicacies expertly blend together mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, romano and cheddar cheese, and are pretty much guaranteed to disappear as soon as they hit the table.
