Pregnant Cardi B blessed the Met Gala red carpet looking like a Catholic queen

“A queen is never late. Everyone else is simply early.” We hope this was Cardi B’s mantra while getting ready for the 2018 Met Gala. Because in honor of the night’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” theme, Cardi has transformed into a queen at her coronation — and she’s an about-to-pop pregnant one at that.

With Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott at her side in a matching ensemble, Cardi was clearly dressed by the best. Featuring a dramatic scoop neck emphasized by a choker collar, full-body embellishments, and attached gloves complete with her signature claws (we imagine this was a special request), Cardi B’s dress was perfectly complemented by a headpiece that’s equally as dramatic. A queen, indeed.

That’s it. We’re converting, Cardi.

Though Cardi is a queen in her own right, her look is reminding us of Queen Bey’s ensemble at the 2017 Grammys. At the time, Beyoncé was pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir and rocked a similar headdress with spindles.

Though this may be Cardi’s first Met Gala, she has certainly made a statement. Just look at the volume of that train.

Based on how Cardi looks, we can only imagine that she’s giving birth to the heir to the throne of Bartier.

Once again, Cardi B has blessed us with a look fit for a queen. And yes, she clearly did her homework when it came to arriving in style for tonight’s event. We bow down.
