REI's deals on outdoor gear aren't just limited to hiking shoes and camping tents—there's a ton of adventure-ready clothing on sale for up to 70% off. Technical styles from brands like Fjallraven, The North Face, and even REI Co-op are still in stock and heavily discounted. But, if there's one style that can't be missed, it's on the most popular pair of Prana hiking pants that's now marked down to under $50.

The Prana Stretch Zion Slim Pants II are on sale starting at $47—a 50% discount on the original price of $95. These pants have earned over 140 five-star ratings from shoppers who say they're "super comfortable and fit great." They're on sale in two colors and are still available in waist sizes 28 through 42 with inseams ranging from 30 to 34, and they're selling out quickly. For those who prefer a traditional fit, Prana's classic fit version is also on sale.

Prana's Stretch Zion pants are an outdoor everyman designed to fight back against the worst abrasive surfaces, sunlight, and heat to make the elements a non-factor for you. This pair is the brand's updated version, and though some controversy exists among fans of the original design, this one has several upgraded features. The ReZion recycled fabric is lighter than before, promoting breathability alongside ventilation holes in the gusseted crotch. The fabric also offers UPF 50+ sun protection and water resistance with its DWR coating. Like its predecessor, it has roll-up leg snaps and a ton of pockets, including the zippered dual-entry leg pocket. One of the main differences between this pair and the last is in the fit; while it has a similar structure in the waist, it's slimmer through the seat and thigh and has a sharper taper at the ankle.

Many who have ventured into this new model are finding plenty to love about it. "So far, these are probably my favorite hiking pants that I own," a shopper said. "I like that they are more slim and form-fitting when most outdoor pants are pretty large and baggy…I like the limited stretch of the fabric—they don't feel super stretchy and they keep their shape very well."

Those who have truly put them to the test say they hold up and feel comfortable even in varying environments. "Bought these a couple of months ago and put in about 150 miles of hiking," one adventurous shopper said. "Worked well on the East Coast forested trails as well as Southwest mountains and desert hikes. No durability issues so far with rock scrambles and cacti except for a few pulled threads (mostly on me not paying attention). Also, great for wearing around town casually. I was hesitant because I usually wear a 29 inseam but the 30 ended up being a perfect length. Doesn't drag and falls nicely on the trail runners."

Despite what fans of the original style say, Prana's updated Stretch Zion Slim Pants are a solid option for adventurers of any skill level, especially now that they're under $50. Sizes are selling out, though, so if you're looking to get into a pair, make sure to grab one soon.
