I take a laid-back approach to spring fashion; I like my jeans to be roomy, my dresses billowing, and my shoes comfy. After shoving my feet and calves into tight leather boots this past winter, I crave something that’s more comfortable, lightweight, and, yes, easy to get on-and-off.

Flats, Mary Janes, and loafers are my go-tos for dressing up a look, but I also need more casual styles. Lace-up sneakers have long been my go-to — I mean, it doesn’t get more classic — but I just discovered a pair of slip-on sneakers shoppers rave are so simple, comfortable, and versatile, I had to add them to my cart. The best part? They’re just $50 at Amazon during its Big Spring Sale.

Dr. Scholl’s Madison Sneakers are available in 29 colors and feature a classic slip-on design. They have two small pieces of elastic on the sides that allow for a quick on-and-off, as well as supportive, cushioned insoles (the brand does have the seal of approval from the American Podiatric Medical Association afterall). It’s the perfect combination of ease and comfort, which has unsurprisingly amassed the sneaker more than 13,700 fans, including a number of nurses and teachers.

According to one nurse, these slip-ons are better than classic walking shoes. “I can stand on my feet for hours in these shoes without the discomfort I usually get by the end of each shift,” they wrote, describing the shoes as “comfortable beyond words.” Another agreed, calling the Madison sneakers “more comfortable than any of [their] past nursing shoes.” And according to a teacher that is on their feet “all day”, these “are cute, supportive, and comfortable,” adding that they are the first slip-on style to have enough space for their “impossibly wide feet.”

Because I’m not a nurse or teacher (in fact, I sit on a laptop most of the day), I’m all for the comfort, but I’m even more excited by how versatile the look is; it’s simple enough to go with everything while feeling a touch more elevated than a standard lace-up sneaker. “They can transition from work-appropriate to casual really fast,” gushed one fan who wears the shoes “almost everyday.” And per someone else, the style looks good with “jeans, casual dresses, shorts, and slacks.”

These Dr. Scholl’s slip-ons are perfect for my laid-back spring vibe, so I’m grabbing them while they’re on sale for just $50 during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale.
