Powerball Jackpot Continues to Swell as No Winner Chosen

The Powerball jackpot is on the up and up once again!

There have been 35 consecutive drawings since the last Powerball winner on April 19, 2023, where the grand prize was worth $252.6 million.

Since then, no players have successfully matched all six numbers, including during yesterday's drawing. As a result, the potential winnings are now sitting at an estimated $725 million—or $366.2 million cash—which is the seventh-largest Powerball jackpot ever.

Not everyone turned off the TV at the end of the drawing a loser, though. There were two winning tickets where players matched all five white balls—missing just the red Powerball. One winning ticket in California made off with a one million dollar prize, while an Iowa winner doubled that by purchasing the Power Play feature for another dollar.

28 additional tickets took home $50k, and 12 others won $100k.

The next drawing is scheduled to take place tomorrow, July 12, so it's not too late to throw your own hat in the proverbial ring!

If somebody wins the jackpot, they'll be able to take home either the lump sum payment of about $366.2 million, or the annuitized prize of about $725 million, which involves one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, increasing by five percent every year.

The overall odds of winning a prize, in general, are 1 in just 24.9, but the odds of winning the jackpot are a whopping 1 in 292.2 million.

To find out the next round of winning numbers, tune in live at 10:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, July 12, where the numbers will be drawn from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee and live-streamed on Powerball.com.
