What is Power Book IV: Force about?

The third spinoff of the original Power show, Force is about what happens to Tommy Egan after he leaves New York and moves to Chicago. Fans of the original series will recall that Tommy leaves while grappling with the death of both his girlfriend, LaKeisha (Lala Anthony), and his friend Ghost (Omari Hardwick).

What happened at the end of Season 1 of Power Book IV: Force?

The Season 1 finale of Force is jam packed with intrigue, betrayal and violence. With the support of the Serbian drug lords, Tommy feels prepared to take on Vic Flynn (Shane Harper), the heir apparent of Chicago's biggest crime family.

At the same time, Diamond's (Isaac Keys) spidey sense helps him narrowly escape an early demise at the hands of Blaxton (Barton Fitzpatrick) and his crew, who planned to kill him. Diamond eventually finds out that Jenard (Kris D. Lofton) was the person who placed a hit on him in the first place...after using a baseball bat to get the information out of Blaxton.

By the end of the episode it's clear that trust doesn't come easy in the Power universe. After Claudia Flynn (Lili Simmons) tells her father that she knows where Tommy's lab is, an all-out bullet war ensues. Jenard ends up working out a deal with the Serbians that will have them pursuing Tommy, and Diamond and Tommy form an alliance.

A second gun battle follows and ultimately results in the death of Liliana (Audrey Esparza), who returned after appearing in Season 1 of Power Book I: Ghost to work as Tommy's closest ally. When Season 2 of Force begins, Tommy has two goals: to avenge Liliana's death and take over the entire city.
