Powder Day For Utah With Resorts Receiving Up To A Foot In The Last 24 Hours

Deer Valley Resort, UT, reports receiving half a foot of fresh snow in the last 24 hours. They're far from the only resort benefitting from the recent snowfall. Resorts across the state got dumped on, making for a proper snow day today, stoking out skiers across the champagne-powder state.

Ski Utah lines up the stats, comparing how much powder piled up at the various resorts.

In the last 24 hours, Brian Head Ski Resort saw 14 inches, Alta got 9 inches, Snowbird got 9 inches, Brighton got 7 inches, Eagle Point got 7 inches, Solitude got 7 inches, and Deer Valley, PowMow, and Park City got 6 inches.

Brian Head even posted a "powder alert" to Instagram, writing "14 inches over the last 24 hours, and still snowing."

Alta joked that they couldn't book Taylor Swift for their season halftime show, so they decided to "go for powder instead." Not a bad trade off, if I do say so myself.

Brighton posted some pow-porn, asking, "have you gotten your dose of powder yet this week?"

Listen, that's enough from me. What are you doing sitting here reading this? Go outside, get those smears and slashes and faceshots and neck-soaking tumbles in! The West Coast is a skier's paradise this week.

See you out there!
