Pow! The ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ First-Look Photos Are Here & They Reveal a Major Spoiler

Filming of the Wonder Woman sequel is underway, and Warner Bros. just officially confirmed the title: Wonder Woman 1984. But that’s not all. The studio also served up a little slice of superhero heaven via two first-look photos that reveal some major details about the upcoming film’s plot.

In one image, Diana Prince’s (Gal Gadot) hunky human love interest from the first film, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), appears to be alive and very well, while rocking an Armie Hammeresque tracksuit and strutting his stuff through a mall. Ah, the ’80s.

Wonder Woman fans might remember that good ol’ Steve met his untimely demise by sacrificing himself during World War I, so it appears that Wonder Woman’s powers might be greater than the Lasso of Truth and some indestructible jewelry.

In addition to confirming that Steve is basically Jon Snow, another photo shows Diana catching up on all things pop culture and staring at a wall of TVs. And from the looks of it, she hasn’t made the same ’80s hair mistakes we did. Bless.

The Patty Jenkins–directed film, which is set in the United States, will also include Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) as Wonder Woman’s adversary Cheetah and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) in an unknown role.
