Portland Art Museum ranks no. 3 among North America’s most underrated museums

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – If you love museums and live in Portland, you may have forgotten just how lucky you are to be here.

The Portland Art Museum was named the third most underrated museum in North America through an analysis by Betway Insider.

The team compared the museums based on their reviews and how much attention they attract on social media, giving them a ranking between 0 and 5.

According to the analysts at Betway, the museums were ranked using five factors including how many Instagram posts they were “hashtagged” in, how many Instagram followers they have, and their reviews from Tripadvisor, Yelp and Google.

The Frick Collection in New York City topped the ranking as the most underrated museum in the U.S. and Canada with a score of 3.81. By comparison, the Portland Art Museum received an overall ranking of 3.57.
