The Portal adds two new businesses to this year’s lineup of food, beer and retail offerings

Organizers at The Portal Container Village recently announced two new businesses will be joining the popular summer destination that includes food trucks, a beer garden and small shops.

The Portal opened for the season May 3 with a handful of new food trucks and businesses planned throughout the summer.

Twin Sisters Mobile Market will be at The Portal starting in July, according to a recent Facebook post.

The market truck will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday, July 3 through Oct. 30.

The second new business joining The Portal is Basecamp Fitness, which will offer free community workouts.

Basecamp Fitness classes will be at the Peter Paulsen Stage at 798 W. Laurel St., in front of the six large digester tanks. The classes will start at noon on Saturdays (June 8, June 29, July 6, July 27) and conclude Aug. 10.

The Portal is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Memorial Day, May 27.

After May 27 The Portal will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Sunday through September.

The Portal Container Village is at 296 W Laurel St. in Bellingham.
