In the age of maskne, stress breakouts, and an ever-decreasing desire to wear makeup, skincare products that promise to shrink pores and banish blackheads are more appealing than ever. So it's no surprise that when U.K.-based skincare brand Wake launched a pink clay face mask advertised to tackle acne, it racked up a 10,000-person waitlist before it was even available to buy. Oh, and it sold out on its website and Amazon in 24 hours flat once it officially launched.

The buzzworthy successor of Wake's wildly popular eye gel finally dropped on Amazon in the U.S. this month, and you can order a jar for $30—if it stays in stock, that is. There's no telling how quickly it will sell out again.

Like the brand's eye gel, the face mask comes in an unassuming white container with a silver lid. Inside, you'll find a lightweight cream made of Australian pink clay and packed with moisturizing glycerin, soothing shea butter, and antioxidant-rich vitamins E and C. It also has something called retinyl palmitate, a gentle type of retinoid derived from vitamin A that acts as an exfoliator and helps unclog pores. These ingredients work together to exfoliate the skin and minimize pores while brightening overall complexion.

Plus, the formula is vegan and free of parabens and sulfates (common preservatives that have raised red flags over the years), so you can feel good about putting the face mask on your skin. Just apply an even layer and give it 10 to 15 minutes to do its thing. Then, rinse it off with warm water and pat your skin dry.

Of course, I had to give the product a try to determine if it truly lived up to the hype. I put it on in the evening and could practically feel it unclogging my pores as it dried on my face. When I washed it off, its textured formula exfoliated my skin, leaving it feeling fresh and clean. I woke up the next morning happy to see my face still had a radiant glow. Now it's a regular in my weekly skincare mask routine.

Based on the hundreds of five-star reviews U.K. customers have already left on Amazon, it's clear that this face mask has people just as excited as they were when Wake released its eye gel. One said the mask does exactly what it's advertised to do, calling it "almost magic."

"I love this face mask. It makes my skin feel so smooth," wrote another shopper. "The mask didn't irritate my skin or make my acne flare up. It's a great addition to my skin care routine."
