Popular Pet Supplements Recalled for Posing a Danger to Cats and Dogs

You'll want to stop using these immediately.

Cat and dog owners should take a look at what supplements their providing their fur babies as another recall recently happened. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of products made by Stratford Care on March 9. Over 60 products were included in this recall.

TikTok user @rachelfusaro dives deeper into why the FDA is recalling these products. The scary part is that these products were sold at vet clinics, Amazon, Chewy and more. Make sure you listen to see if you and your pet have been impacted.

Wow, this is seriously so frightening. The recall was due to a customer reporting their dog showing signs of Vitamin A toxicity. Vitamin A is essential for our fur babies, a KCRA article wrote. But consuming Vitamin A at higher levels can lead to health issues.

It's very important to seek medical attention if your pet shows any symptoms of Vitamin A toxicity. The general signs include malaise, anorexia, nausea, peeling skin, weakness, tremors, convulsions, paralysis and death. "So scary!" said @pawstojourney. You can say that again! @cindyfelix13 added, "To all my follower pet moms and dads share the post let’s save somebody’s pet."

We need to get the word out about this recall since so many brands are impacted. Let's save our precious fur babies! If you would like to know whether or not the products you use were affected, please check out this list from the FDA. And if you do currently have one of the impacted products, stop giving it to your animals and immediately throw it away in a place where no other animal can access it.
