Popular Crib Manufacturer Announces Recall Due to Safety Concerns

There is nothing more alarming than a recall for children's furniture. If you've been thinking about purchasing one of these items or if you already have, you absolutely need to hear this.
On August 17th, popular brand ZipadeeKids sent out a recall for several of their children's bed frames and floor beds. Both Consumer Report and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission also announced this recall, claiming the items have potential "entrapment and strangulation hazards."

ZipadeeKids, a company based on Circleville, Ohio, is recalling over 7,000 products, specifically their Convertible House bed frames and Montessori floor beds. The products themselves were manufactured by Bell Station Interiors, which since has filed for dissolution and is allegedly no longer in business, according to CBS News.
The CPSC stated that the risk is due to the spacing between the spindles of the beds. According to the news release, the design "allows a child's torso to slip through the rail opening but will not allow their head to pass, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards that could result in death."
The specific beds being recalled are the twin, full, and queen sizes of the "Convertible House Bed Frame" and "Montessori Floor Bed" shipped between February 26, 2018 and October 22, 2021, as well as the toddler size of the Montessori bed made between May and September of 2018.
At least two children, a 21-month old boy and a 4-year-old girl, have been caught in the bed rails. So far, thankfully, there have been zero fatalities connected to these items.
If you or someone you know own one of these items, shown below, the CPSC urges you to "dispose of the recalled beds and NOT to resell or donate them." Consumers should be warned that it is against federal law to resell or donate recalled products.
