Popular Canadian Frame Manufacturer Launches World Cup Downhill Team

One of the most exciting brands to watch is the Canadian Bike Manufacturer We Are One Composites. The company makes wheels and frames at its headquarters in Kamloops, British Columbia.

On February 1st, 2024, We Are One announced that they would finally be fielding a downhill team. See the unveiling of the We Are One Momentup Project below.

The Momentum project will feature Canadians Jon Mozell and Mark Wallace. The pair will ride on We Are One’s prototype downhill bike that the brand unveiled in 2023. It is unlikely at this moment that We Are One will ever go to market with the bike, but they can certainly achieve some brand recognition by racing them at the World Cups.

Though We Are One has sponsored some pro enduro racers, the brand's founder Dustin Adams, a former DH racer himself, has long envisioned the brand going to Mountain Biking’s biggest stage of the downhill World Cup. This dream is finally a reality.

The Momentum project will combine the age and experience of Mark Wallace with the youth of Jon Mozell. Mozell is coming off of his first year in the Junior Category where he scored a 2nd place at Les Gets.

Mark Wallace has had a decorated career which includes a second place at the rainy 2017 Lourdes World Cup as well as multiple top 10s to his name. He also starred in Calvin Huth's 2021 masterpiece Arthur. Watch his performance below.

We at BIKE are excited to see what these two can do on We Are One’s downhill frame.
