Popstar Shakira Bruised after Wipeout While Surfing in Costa Rica (Watch)

Joining the hordes of “adult learners” storming lineups worldwide, 46-year-old Colombian popstar Shakira started surfing in the past few years.

She began with wake surfing, as we recently posted, going from shakily holding onto the rope for safety, to cracking a couple half-decent slashes off the boat-fueled lip. And now, she’s progressed to the ocean, with many celebrity news outlets reporting in recent days, showing Shakira surfing in Costa Rica with an instructor.

“Recently Shakira was spotted in Costa Rica with none other than Gisele Bündchen,” says TikToker astrojackkkk above.

“They’re both pretty fresh off some breakups. Gisele Bündchen just broke up with Tom Brady, and obviously Shakira broke up with that douchebag Gerard Piqué.

“But it looks like while she was enjoying some fun in the sun, she had a pretty bad accident while she was in the water while trying to learn how to surf.

“Apparently she was just vibing in Costa Rica. That right here is her surf instructor and he was just giving her some pointers while she trying to learn to surf.

“Then it looks like she had a pretty bad wipeout while she was trying to learn, but not only did she fall off her board, but it looks like the current started to drag her under. And her surfing instructor had to get involved and save her.

“Thankfully she’s okay, and the surfing instructor was able to intervene and get her out of there in time. But it looks like she has some bumps and bruises. Allegedly the paparazzi said she had a ginormous bruise on her inner thigh. It could be sand. I don’t know, I wasn’t there.

“But Shakira is a very adventurous gal, so I highly doubt this is going to stop her from surfing or doing any other activities like that.”
