The Pop-Tarts Lemon Flavor Pastries Will Give You the Taste of Pink Lemonade for Spring
If you’re desperately craving a piece of summer in the middle of the winter, today’s your lucky day. Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts has brought back its pink lemonade-flavored pastries, dubbed Lemon Groove, with a whole new look.
The drink-inspired Pop-Tarts first came out in 2016 for a limited time. Back then, the Frosted Pink Lemonade flavor included a pink center and pink icing on top with pink and yellow sprinkles. The 2021 version, however, looks quite different. The pastries deliver the taste of pink lemonade, thanks to that millennial pink filling. It’s finished with white frosting that’s complete with one of 10 fun designs, which consist of pink and yellow lemons in different wigs and accessories.
Pop-Tarts typically goes with sweet, dessert flavors, like cupcakes and pie. So this sour take is really going to send your taste buds into a spin. This time around, the packaging doesn’t indicate that it’s a limited-edition flavor. So we’ll assume we get to eat these forever and ever.
The Pop-Tarts Lemon Groove Pink Lemonade flavor is available at Walmart in a box of 16 pastries for $3.68. Just like any other flavor, you can eat these straight out of the package or heat them up. However ... warm, sour pastries? Maybe we’ll keep these cold.
