Pop-Tarts Brings Back Frosted Strawberry Milkshake Flavor
Pop-Tarts is giving fans one sweet treat.
The beloved toaster pastries will be officially relaunching its Frosted Strawberry Milkshake flavor, TODAY.com confirmed.
Strawberry Milkshake Pop-Tart was first introduced in 2005 as part of the Ice Cream Shoppe Flavors Collection, most recently appearing in stores in 2017 before being discontinued.
However, fans couldn’t get enough of the flavor’s creamy, strawberry milkshake-flavored filling–nestled inside a pink frosted, rainbow sprinkle-covered crust–that they're likely the reason it's making a comeback.
Public pleas and demands across social media and the Pop-Tarts website have been growing, with the company finally caving and giving the people what they want.
One review, titled “Give Them Back,” stated, “PLEASE BRING THUS BACK I DONT EAT ANY OTHER FLAVOR AND I LOVE IT SO MUCHHHHHHH.”
Another explained they used to hoard the flavor in fear of it getting discontinued, as someone else added, “This flavor was my entire LIFE. I cannot go without it.”
“I would do something terrible for strawberry milkshake poptarts,” one user tweeted.
The fan-favorite flavor will reportedly hit Walmart store shelves later this summer in September.
Early this month, Pop-Tarts had fans buzzing after popular foodie Instagram account Markie_Devo revealed that this fall, the brand would be reviving a flavor to delight all pumpkin pie lovers.
“RETURNING!! Pop-Tarts Frosted Pumpkin Pie!!” the account noted, with fans taking to the comments to celebrate the return as the flavor was not available the year prior.
This comes on the heels of the return announcement of the limited editon Frosted Sugar Cookie flavor, which is said to be making a comeback in August around the same time as the pumpkin flavor.
