Getting a bunch of rowdy, buzzed people to toss ping-pong balls into cups with any degree of accuracy is challenging enough, but one company's made it their mission to up the ante. The Pongbot is a robotic cupholder designed to zip around countertops, turning beer pong into a moving-target game.

It effectively works like taping cups to a Roomba vacuum cleaner: You try to toss ping pong balls into cups filled with booze as it whirrs across the table. Like the Roomba, it has edge-detection technology, too, so it doesn't speed off the edge. The big advantage, though, is that the Pongbot costs $50 — a fraction of the cost of the Roomba game popularized on YouTube — and comes with a remote, so you can manually steer it wherever you want. (If you want to infuriate your friends fast, switch it to manual mode and play nice ... just until they toss the ball.)

You can play with a single cup in the center of the Pongbot, or — to increase your chances of scoring — attach four plastic cupholders to the base of the machine, turning it into a demogorgon-esque, five-pronged robot to lead you to boozy victory. Or doom, depending on how much you drink.
