In recognition of International Women's Day, Milanese jewelry house Pomellato just released their new awareness campaign, a call-to-action video shedding a light on the importance of protecting a woman’s right to freedom. "Unfortunately, our freedoms as women and people continue to come under threat across the world – this year it has become especially evident," says Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli. "We are being suppressed, challenged, reduced, silenced, killed."

Founded by Belli in 2017, the #PomellatoForWomen platform was originally launched to promote female empowerment. Since then, the brand has covered a variety of themes from championing gender equality to highlighting the need for inclusivity.

This year, Belli is featured in the brand’s 6th annual “Pomellato for Women” video alongside several other influential women including Emmy-nominated actress Joey King, Italian volleyball player, writer, and LGBTQ+ rights activist Paola Egonu, Iranian professional climber and women’s rights activist Nasim Eshqi, and actress, political activist, and Pomellato for Women Ambassador Jane Fonda.

Aside from promoting their campaign, Pomellato has made it a priority to generate tangible change. "Pomellato, caring for women since 1967,” is more than just the Maison’s motto. Pomellato’s brand ethos is embodied in their workforce, which consists of 75% female employees, and their efforts to support women continues speak volumes. A prime example of this is one of their most recent charitable efforts, which includes a partnership with FreeFrom, a LA-based organization that enables survivors of domestic violence to build wealth and financial stability.
