Poland opens repair facility for Ukrainian tanks
The Bumar-Labędy facility is well-equipped for the task, as it was designed to maintain and refurbish Polish tanks based on Soviet-era designs, the message said.

In the future, the program will include servicing T-72 and PT-91 main battle tanks Poland previously transferred to Ukraine, with a possible extension to cover incoming German-made Leopard-2 tanks, as well.
“Thanks to the implemented program for the modernization of Leopard-2A4 tanks to the 2PL standard for the needs of the Polish Army, the company received necessary knowledge, technical means, and experience in this area,” the message reads.

Besides tank maintenance and repairs, the agreement provides for joint manufacture of 125mm tanks shells, Ukroboronprom said in a Telegram post on April 6.
