Still, easy-to-wear is only one part of the equation. As someone who works in fashion, I also enjoy a little flair, which is why I was down to try out HEYDUDE’s Hudson Lift Luxe sneaker, which is part of its new Hudson collection.
Not only is this court-inspired shoe lightweight and easy to slide into (it has stretchy laces instead of ones you need to tie), the pair I chose included a splash of metallic and a playful leopard print in the back. At the same time, they’re mostly white, making them pretty versatile, too.

It didn’t take me long for these $90 sneakers to become my new favorites, and I’ve been able to pair them with multiple different outfits, from jeans to dresses.
Something else I love about HEYDUDE’s Hudson Lift Luxe sneaker is the platform, which is where that lift part of its name comes into play. While they don’t add a ton of height — just 1.7 inches — these babies still saved me a trip to the tailor and pair perfectly with wide-leg denim. At 5’0, so many of my bottoms unfortunately drag on the ground, but these sneakers provide just enough of a boost to solve that dilemma — without feeling bulky or heavy like other platforms out there.
Sneakers in general are considered to be casual, but the Hudson Lift Luxe sneaker does feel a bit more elevated. They’re the perfect pick to style with a simple shirtdress or basic black trousers since they’ll instantly add interest to your outfit.

They’re an easy yet fun shoe to wear with sweats, and with no laces to fuss with, I like to keep them by the door for whenever I’m in a rush.
