‘Planet of the Bass’ fans are furious with creator for using a different woman in full-length music video: 'Where is she?'

The parody music video for the fake Euro-pop song “Planet of the Bass” has found a rare multi-social media platform virality after being seemingly posted everywhere on TikTok, Twitter and even Tumblr. Fans love the very accurate homage to the ’90s and “almost correct English” lyrics — and they especially love Audrey Trullinger, who plays Ms. Biljana Electronica alongside comedian Kyle Gordon.

But the tides may have turned after Gordon posted a preview of the full-length music video he plans to put out on Aug. 15.

Gordon added in the caption that it was filmed in Croatia — a departure from the original backdrop of the Occulus in downtown Manhattan — but did not acknowledge that an entirely different woman was being featured throughout. Instead of Trullinger, it’s Mara Olney playing Ms. Biljana Electronica.

Social media was not happy.

While Gordon has not commented on the response or explained why he swapped actresses, some are arguing this is a deeply meta move honoring the ’90s Euro-pop bands that did the same thing.

“I’m getting absolutely dragged in the comment section,” Olney said in a recent Instagram Story. “I was told be to stoic, supermodel — act like I don’t give a s***. And that is what I did.”

In a comment on Gordon’s Instagram upload of the music video preview, Olney wrote in the “almost correct English” of her character: “Everybody hate me but what they do not understand is that in my country we have very old saying that make like this. These s*** words cannot break the bones and it must be stones and sticks to do so very well. World peace.”
