You've gotten engaged, set a date, and now it's time to start registering for your newlywed must-haves. Do it early; friends and family will want to shower you with celebratory gifts, and those gifts will come whether you've curated them or not. While creating a wedding registry used to involve a trip to your local department store and a scanner gun, the Internet is chock-full of resources to source all you'll need to update your current living space or create the look for your newlywed home.

That's where notable astrology expert Susan Miller comes in. She recently partnered with BAZAAR top planner Jung Lee, founder of the luxury registry concierge service Slowdance, to help you curate the ultimate wedding registry based on your astrological sign. When consulting the guide ahead, keep your sun sign in mind as well as your partner's, and also consider your rising signs. Your rising sign informs how you present to the world, which parlays into your living space where you host and entertain.

Here, Miller's guide to shopping for your home—according to the stars.

Aries

Dates: March 21–April 19

Aries are assertive, self-starting, enthusiastic, risk-taking, individualistic, passionate, energetic, and cheerful. In dress and home decor, an Aries tends to like clean lines. This sign loves sleek, classic style—nothing too fussy. You might be the type to choose linen place mats for your formal holiday table rather than favoring tablecloths that require more upkeep, and colorful or textured informal place mats for daily use.

You also might register for server plates for your dinner china, to underscore the colors of your china for a unified, sophisticated look. Consider a touch of red, your lucky color, in the design you choose. For a modern look, try mixing a pale warm blush pink (as a derivative of red) with touches of blue.

Taurus

Dates: April 20–May 20

Taureans are patient, reliable, consistent, possessive, sensuous, financially-oriented, wise, comfort-seeking, solid, and steady. Venus—the planet of love and beauty—rules Taurus, so everything you register for should be delicate, refined, and elegant. As an earth sign, a floral or natural design motif for china is very you. This sign loves the finer things in life, but isn't showy about it; you love fine china, silver, and crystal, as well as imported linens for your table. There is always a feeling of Old World charm in your table-setting selections.

In the matter of silverware, a Taurus would gladly take their grandmother's silver and cheerfully polish it for special occasions. Taureans are tactile shoppers; you will choose your favorite pattern and look, and as you decide, you will note the balance of each utensil in your hand. Crystal glassware is very important to you, and you need to have it go perfectly with your china and silverware. When it comes to exquisite beauty, you are willing to go the extra mile to care for your things.

You appreciate fine wines, and in time, you may become quite sophisticated about choosing the right wine to pair with your dinner menu. It follows that you would want the proper glass and wine decanter to serve it. A Taurus loves flowers, and you need flowers in your home as well; choose a wide selection of crystal vases, including all sizes and shapes, to display the flowers to their best advantage.

Gemini

Dates: May 21–June 20

Sharp intelligence, alertness, versatility and adaptability, acute perception, and curiosity are key qualities of Geminis, who are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. As a result, Geminis are born entertainers, love a good party, and are inherently social.

Geminis rule butterflies and small, beautiful birds—so you might be drawn to china that features one or both creatures in its design. A pretty charger plate to place under your chosen china will bring out the delicate colors of your favorite pattern. You love sparkle, so fabrics that have sheen or glimmer in the light will attract your attention.

While your taste is exquisite like the Taurus, you are more contemporary in approach and will delight in mixing traditional design with sleek and modern pieces for an eclectic combination. You love designer table settings and the finer things, but would never have a centerpiece that is so tall it would hamper conversation.

Cancer

Dates: June 21–July 22

Emotionally intelligent and sensitive, Cancers are strongly intuitive and romantic. This sign loves home and family, and feels secure there; Cancer women have strong maternal instincts. They're known for great listening—and they are retentive with a good memory.

Cancers are ruled by the moon, which holds your dreams, memories, and emotions; all shades of white belong to this moon child, and the fabrics they're attracted to have a luminous sheen, just like the light of the moon when it is full and at its most beautiful.

This sign loves tradition, so choosing a china pattern is one of the most enjoyable parts of registering. The tone of your style is classic, feminine, and elegant. Like your decorating style, your china pattern is likely traditional with a refined, modern twist.

Be sure to register candlesticks—you'll need many, depending on your mood. You will need a cake server, too, because you are known to celebrate lots of birthdays, as well as champagne glasses and a champagne cooler to keep your bubbly chilled. When it comes to celebrations at home, dear Cancer, you do it best.

Leo

Date: July 23–August 22

Leos are creative, stylish, proud, confident, distinguished, and determined. This sign exudes authority and makes a fine leader. Warmhearted, a Leo is loving, enthusiastic, and gregarious.

Your style is regal, stately, and beautifully designed. Leo is ruled by the sun, so you are drawn to gold rims or gold touches. You like one-of-a-kind, unique pieces with a refined touch. Of all the signs, you are most likely to host formal dinner parties with beautiful linens. Leo thinks big—so when you do entertain, be sure to have settings for at least eight to 10 people.

Register for a wide assortment of crystal glassware; for a Leo, only the right glass for the right wine, champagne, or liquor will do.

Dates: August 23–September 22

Virgos are perfectionists, industrious, giving, practical, health-conscious, reserved, discrete, faithful, modest, and thrifty. They're also nurturing, spiritual, and hyper-feminine.

When it comes to your design, you might love a repeating pattern in a soft gray or other neutral, with a metallic charger plate. Pair your china with linen in white, gunmetal, or silver. Choose crystal glassware with an interesting stem or modern design. Virgos love things organized neatly, so keep that in mind when opting for displays and storage solutions.

Add silver frames to display your favorite photographs of family and friends, and plenty of crystal vases in different shapes and sizes. Virgo is associated with just-picked small wildflowers that you brought in from the garden or impulsively bought on a city street on your way home from work—so be sure you have the dainty vessels to put them in water.

Libra

Dates: September 23–October 22

Libras are relationship-oriented. They're diplomatic, refined, elegant, and considerate, and also quite romantic and idealistic.

You enjoy setting a beautiful table—life is art for you. As Venus's daughter, you want things to be exquisitely pretty, soft, and graceful. Themes from nature, including flowers, birds, buds, fauna, and herbs, will look beautiful to you. You will want the crystal goblets and wineglasses to be as special as the china and have interesting stems. A tinted-colored water goblet to echo some of the color in the pattern of the china will surprise and delight you.

To you, dinner should be lit with flattering candlelight. Libra rules the social graces, including protocol, manner, and politeness, and you understand how important it is to be treated with respect and warmth—it is no wonder that everyone loves an invitation from you, dear Libra.

Scorpio

Dates: October 23–November 21

Intense, passionate, magnetic, sexy, investigative, intuitive, loving, possessive, secretive, and private — these are only some of ways to describe a mysterious Scorpio.

Consider incorporating touches of black into your china pattern for a distinguished, formal look to your table setting. The pattern associated with Scorpio is often exotic and does not echo nature—skip the flora and fauna, and opt for something less sweet.

To pair with your china pattern, choose traditional, hand-cut crystal. This sign has a sultry side—and will surely own a bar cart with specialty cocktails on offer.

Sagittarius

Dates: November 22–December 21

A Sagittarius is a wild card: adventuresome, pioneering, philosophical, outgoing, optimistic, risk-taking, honest, and direct. This sign takes inspiration from their many travels, since they yearn for freedom and escape.

You will likely gravitate to a simple, pared-down style, like white china with a beautiful rim—so that you can layer textures, prints, and colors on top on a whim. Your glassware should be simple as well, with beautiful clean, modern lines that can be used for formal or informal gatherings. You will add pattern and interest in the napkins and mats used under the china, which you can swap and change as your spirit moves you.

You will need candles and candlesticks, too, but don't opt for ornate candelabras; stick to clean, modern elements. A Sagittarius will entertain sweeping style shifts and think about moving house more often than others, even if they never get around to it. The key with registry for this sign is to avoid locking yourself into a look; this sign craves versatility, nimbleness, and the ability to make a design change when the mood strikes.

Dates: December 22–January 19

Capricorns are ambitious, responsible, disciplined, realistic, and dependable. They value tradition and family life—and they tend to have a great sense of humor.

Leo may have dreams of living the royal life and being queen, but a Capricorn has the sensibilities of a princess. Consider your dinner and dessert plates rimmed in shimmery gold, each one a little different within the set. Allow the charger plate to support the beauty of your china by choosing white porcelain.

Sticking with the less-is-more theme, keep your glassware simple. Choose linen napkins edged in gold threads. You might have refined taste, but you're efficient above all else. Therefore, your tableware must coordinate and be easy to set. When you're hosting, you go all out; your guests will be transported to a world you've executed just for the evening.

Your role as iconoclast means you can feel free to choose items for your home that fully express your individuality and are unique and memorable in every way. The symbol for this sign is the Water Bearer; keep this in mind and fill your home with vessels, be they vases or glassware. The futurist in you lends itself to modern, geometric, and eclectic pieces—your home is all about the mix, as well as the latest gadgets.

The truest of water signs, blue is your color. Pisces tend to love enduring elegance and delicate beauty. And they love sparkle, so add metallic-thread napkins and snow-white linen-coated place mats.

Be sure to register a beautiful jug for easy and refined dining. You will also need a blue vase to hold your beloved white flowers. A Pisces is happiest in or around water and loves plants and natural foliage; choose art, pottery, and objet that speak to both.
