Our Place Launches Lunar New Year Collection in Honor of the Year of the Rabbit

Though plenty of us celebrated New Year’s Eve on the last day of December, we’re gearing up for another round of celebrations because the Lunar New Year, which marks the beginning of a new calendar year based on the moon cycles, is upon us. With just over a week to go—the start of the celebration is on January 22—beloved kitchenware brand Our Place has released a limited-edition collection.
The new series includes a set of four rice bowls (with matching chopsticks and chopstick rests) and the best-selling Perfect Pot and Always Pan, both of which are in a new bright red shade, appropriately dubbed Firecracker. Both the color and the name are not-so-subtle nods to the Lunar New Year fireworks that mark a festive start to the celebratory tradition. As for the stoneware rice bowls, you’ll want to use them all year round. They’re inspired by the Year of the Rabbit and hand-glazed by artist Vanilla Chi.
While every culture makes and enjoys different cuisines and dishes to kick off the new year, the most popular meals tend to include noodles, whole steamed fish, and sticky rice balls. So if you’re sticking to that menu or something similar, rest assured that you can whip up all of these dishes using both the pot and pan.
