Pizza Week to offer limited-edition slices for $3 throughout Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – If there’s one thing Portland loves, it’s pizza.

Portland Mercury’s annual Pizza Week is the perfect celebration of the city’s well-established slice scene. This year, at least participating 40 locations will offer limited-edition slices for $3 or entire pies for $24.

The event runs from Monday, April 15 through Sunday, April 21. You can find the full list of pizza shops on EverOut.

But with so many options, how can you choose? These are the five slices that stood out to our team at KOIN 6 News:

Atlas Pizza (North)

Location: 710 N Killingsworth Street

Pizza: “Homer’s Hot Chicken Odyssey (Illegal in 42 States)” comes with a garlic oil base, mozzarella, Nashville hot chicken, spicy pickles, scallions, honey butter and pub sauce. It cannot be made gluten free or vegan.

This pizza is available by the slice.

Assembly Brewing

Location: 6159 SE Foster Road and 2934 NE Alberta Street

Pizza: The “Butcher’s Bolognese” features “fresh basil, lemon zest, and a rich bolognese sauce with beef rib, shank, chuck, and broth provided by our friends and neighbors at Proletariat Butchery.” It cannot be made gluten free or vegan.

This pizza is available as both a slice and a whole pie.

Baby Doll Pizza

Location: 2835 SE Stark Street

Pizza: The “Chicken Shawarma!” comes with mozzarella cheese, chicken thigh, red onion and pickles and is “topped with a roasted red pepper sauce, a drizzle of zesty sour cream and a touch of parsley.” You can order it vegetarian, but not vegan or gluten free.

This pizza is available by the slice.

Signal Station Pizza

Location: 8302 N Lombard Street

Pizza: The “Hit Me Bánh mì One More Time” features a “confit garlic and ginger base, marinated chicken with garlic, soy, and ginger, and mozzarella topped with house pickled carrot and daikon, fresh cucumber, jalapeño and cilantro.” It cannot be made gluten free or vegan.

This pizza is available as both a slice and a whole pie.

Straight From New York Pizza

Location: 3701 SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Pizza: The “Megan Thee Scallion” with shiitake mushrooms, daikon radish, braised beef, scallions, and panko breadcrumbs. You can order a whole pie that is gluten free and vegan, but the price may change.
