If you are looking for a relatively healthy option for "cool" food as summer approaches, look no further than the watermelon.

The height of watermelon season is upon us in here in Florida and a multitude of recipes are popping up all over social media. Of course, cutting up a watermelon and eating a wedge or chunks can be good enough. But have some fun and try something different!

The folks at Fresh from Florida have this recipe for watermelon pizza. Feel free to add some pepperoni if you'd like.

What are the ingredients for watermelon pizza?

  • Florida Watermelon

  • Vanilla-flavored yogurt or other flavor, as desired

  • Florida Fruit, Ex: Blueberries, Strawberries, Peaches, Oranges, and Mango

  • Florida Honey

  • Shredded Coconut

  • Granola, optional

  • Fresh mint, optional

How do you make watermelon pizza?

  • Wash all produce.

  • Carefully slice watermelon into 1-inch rounds.

  • For each watermelon round, top with 2-3 tablespoons of vanilla yogurt, spreading evenly over the red part like pizza sauce.

  • Top each pizza with assorted berries or sliced fruit as desired. Sprinkle with shredded coconut, granola and fresh mint.

  • Drizzle with Florida Honey.
