Pizza is one food that I’ll absolutely never get sick of, and that’s only become even more true the longer I’ve lived in New York. With some of the best pizza in the country always within walking distance, I grab a slice probably more often than I should, but who can blame me? However, I know that not everyone has a world-class pizzeria around the corner — I don’t mean to rub it in — but all hope isn’t lost. There’s still a way to get top-tier pies that are leagues above those from the national chains.

You guessed it: I’m talking about at-home pizza ovens. You’ve probably heard of Ooni or seen the company’s compact ovens online or at a pizza party. In my case, it was the latter, thanks to my grandpa who decided to splurge and has put it to use at many family gatherings. He isn’t the only one that loves Ooni’s Koda oven; our former tools editor swears by it, too. I just came across another model that’s hundreds of dollars less than the Koda, but just as good — especially since it’s 30% off for Memorial Day. Keep reading to find out more about the outdoor Fyra oven.

What Is the Ooni Fyra 12 Wood Pellet Pizza Oven?

A number of features make this gadget a total score. For one, instead of gas, it uses hardwood pellets for fuel. As long as you keep them topped up — which is easy because of the device that feeds them automatically — the heat will remain consistently high. In fact, it reaches 950°F in only 15 minutes and will cook your pizza through in about a minute. Further, the pellets burn cleanly for two to three hours at a time and leave behind little mess. Best of all, though, is that the wood gives your pizza a smoky flavor. That’s right: The Fyra does all of that in a portable, 22-pound package.

What Ooni Shoppers Are Saying

Average Rating: 4.7/5

“The results are incredible vs. using a conventional oven, and not only the speed of the cook but the taste and texture, far superior! I love the conversations that occur when you bring the Ooni out, really an excellent purchase that is relatively inexpensive to use and maintain. I even cooked pizzas in 25-degree weather, and they were incredible.” — Pete W.

“This Fyra 12 is an awesome product. Small, easy to store, quick to set up and start, and the pizza tastes exactly like the ones from a large wood-burning pizza oven. I couldn’t recommend more — I am very happy with it.” — Giuliano H.

“The oven is small and just perfect for us, doesn’t require a lot of space to store or keep set up. Wasn’t light and heats up quickly. Was so amazed to have delicious pizza in less than 90 seconds!” — Kathy F.

The Fyra is easy to use, and it’ll produce pro-level pies. Every time you put it to work, it’ll also turn your meal into an occasion. The memories you’ll make with friends and family whipping up homemade pizza are priceless — all of that considered, its under-$250 sale price is a bargain. Snag it before summer starts!
