Pizza Hut Introduces Savory New Menu Item

Pizza Hut is putting a spin on the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, favorite Philly cheesesteak with two delicious new menu items.

The restaurant chain will offer both the Cheesesteak Pizza and the Cheesesteak Melt at locations nationwide for a limited time, starting tomorrow, May 2.

The Cheesesteak Pizza features sirloin steak strips, Alfredo sauce, green bell peppers, and onions, along with parmesan oregano on top. You'll be able to get the new pizza in either medium or large with any kind of crust.

The Cheesesteak Melt includes melted cheese and all the same cheesesteak ingredients in a perfect handheld meal. The melt is also served with ranch sauce for dipping.

For pricing, Cheesesteak Pizzas start at $13.99, while the Melts start at $6.99.

The Melts are also relatively new to the Pizza Hut menu, with the food chain adding the new category last October.

When Melts first launched, Pizza Hut offered four flavor variations, advertising Melts as something for people who don't want to share their food or those on the go. As the original press release said, "Melts aren't for sharing."

The Melts must be quite popular so far, seeing as Pizza Hut decided to add a new variation along with the new pizza.

While this is the first time a cheesesteak-style pizza is available at Pizza Hut in the U.S., it's not the first time the chain has offered the Philly-inspired pizza altogether.

Around two years ago, Pizza Hut had a Philly Cheesesteak Pan Pizza, but it was only offered at locations in the Philippines—definitely hard for any American fans of Pizza Hut to get their hands on!

Luckily, the chain is finally bringing the iconic cheesesteak to U.S. menus, and the savory Cheesesteak Pizza and Cheesesteak Melts are sure to impress your taste buds.
