When it comes to pizza toppings these days, all bets are off. You can stick to classic cheese or pepperoni, or you can add any fruity iteration you may desire. The rules are that there are no rules. Now to add to the variation, Pieology came out with a pizza base made of chicken, so technically it's totally keto-friendly.

Pieology is a pizza chain that allows for all sorts of personalizations. They already have gluten-free and cauliflower crusts along with their classic, but this one is like nothing we've ever seen before. Essentially, the base of the pizza that is usually made of dough is instead made with a flattened chicken breast.

QSR explains the chicken base is made from a mixture of white meat chicken, cheese, and eggs, which makes it keto-certified. At Pieology, you can decide what sauces and toppings you want to add (there are 40+ to choose from!), so this is an awesome pizza alternative for those following the keto diet who want to satisfy their pizza craving.

The keto crust is 44 grams of protein, two grams of carbs, and 280 calories. It's available for a limited time at all of Pieology United States locations, excluding Hawaii ones. As is true with most special menu items, this limited-time release may be a test to gauge how popular the chicken base pizza is before it becomes a permanent option. But come on. A meat base with sauce toppings and more meat and veggie toppings?! I, for one, am in.
