Pit Bull and Rescued Magpie Become the Best of Friends

Peggie the Pit Bull was at the dog park with her mom when they made a harrowing discovery. There was a magpie sitting in the grass all alone, and it seemed hurt.

The pair took the bird home, and to the human mom’s surprise, the magpie started nursing from Peggy, who had had a phantom pregnancy and developed milk. From that moment on, the friendship blossomed.

Now, the magpie, named Molly, still lives with the pair and another Pit Bull named Ruby. Both dogs just adore Molly, but Peggie really loves her bird friend. They can be found cuddling in Peggie’s bed most of the day.

It’s such an odd friendship, but Peggie really loves Molly. You can tell the bond they share is so special to both of them when you see them interacting with each other.

“I can’t believe how strong their bond is,” their mom said on an Australian morning show that did a segment about the pair. Their friendship is inspiring people all across the world now that their story is out, and their mom even wrote a book about it that is now on sale.

This pair is so adorable and is such an unlikely pair. There is even a video of Molly the magpie barking like a pup, which she must have learned from her dog sisters!

This blended family is so precious, and the unlikely friendship between Peggie and Molly is unlike any other. They rarely leave each other’s sides, and are like partners in crime. They can be found lounging around the house all day, every day.

It’s a miracle that Molly was found by the right person when she was a fledgling. Now, she has the most perfect family to spend her days with, living it out in peace and harmony.
