Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond and her husband, Ladd, have been renovating the main house on the Drummond Ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and the sneak peek she just gave of their recently finished lounge room is absolutely breathtaking.

In an Instagram post shared by the Food Network star, the newly-renovated space sits at the top of the stairs in their new house, “right where the old house used to be.” And judging by the immaculate wall-to-wall dark blue shelves, the golden tone of the couch and the beautifully rustic wooden tabletops, the couple may have just created the perfect space for entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet moment to themselves.

In her video, an old western painting can be seen hanging over the golden sofa, which Drummond mentions was “in Ladd’s parents’ house forever.” Having never planned on putting the painting in the new lounge room, the Food Network star was moved by the way the gold sofa and golden tones of the painting worked so well together. Drummond explained how once the painting was positioned above the couch, the room “clicked,” and has become their go-to spot to “read, think, remember old times and reset amid glimpses of Nan, beloved ranch dogs and (eventually) photos of friends and family.”

In her post, Drummond mentions how she enjoys lounging in the space with either a “coffee or wine, depending on the time of day, and he (Ladd) has a Dr. Pepper no matter what time of day.” With loads of natural light coming in and washing across the furniture, it’s hard to not be enthralled by the gorgeous combination of colors and materials used to cultivate their peaceful space.

Although the couple is still working on renovations to the original 50-year-old house in which they raised their children, the smaller guest house on the family’s ranch has become their newest home. But if the success they had in creating a TV-free oasis of an entertainment room is anything to go by, it’s safe to assume the rest of the renovations will come along beautifully.
