Hard seltzers may have had their time in the spotlight last year, but this year, mocktails are all the rage. Not only does Nielsen list mocktails and low-ABV beverages among the top beverage trends for 2020, but searches for “mocktail recipe” have also surged on Pinterest — a whopping 1,241 percent. And with this month being Dry January — searches for “dry January quotes” on Pinterest increased 54 percent and searches for “dry January benefits” increased 36 percent — this trend couldn’t be better timed. But, what does one drink during Dry January?

If you’re feeling fancy, there are actually a few different “non-alcoholic spirits” on the market now, like those from Seedlip and Ceder’s. But if you don’t feel like going out of your way to splurge on a fancy bottle, it’s actually really easy to concoct your own mocktails from ingredients you can get at the grocery store.
