Canada's 'sexiest' city was just named — and it might surprise you

When it comes to Canada's sexiest cities, you might be tempted to rank them by their stylish inhabitants, glamorous nightlife, or scenic vistas. However, PinkCherry, one of Canada’s largest sexual health and wellness retailers, has released their own list based on the country's sex toy sales per person.
Using data from customer purchases and behaviours from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022, the retailer revealed their list of the sexiest cities and towns in Canada.
The result is an interactive map that showcases top product categories, fun facts based on purchasing data, and best-selling products in each city or town.

For the 11th edition of PinkCherry's list, Calgary, Alta. took the list's top spot for the third year in a row. It was followed by Halifax, N.S., and Edmonton, Alta. in the number two and three spots.
Four Ontario cities made the list, including Ottawa, London, Toronto and Hamilton. Vancouver and Surrey represented B.C., with Winnipeg, Man, rounding out the top 10.
According to a PinkCherry press release, "people in Calgary were focused on couples' gifts for playtime together, but people in Winnipeg seemed more interested in self-pleasure. Even more noteworthy? People in Halifax seemed to like their sex swings!"
Twitter users seemed to be split on many of the rankings, and shared their thoughts online. Some people disagreed with the list, and weren't shy about voicing their concerns.
"How is Edmonton even in the top 400?" one person tweeted.
"Winnipeg is the 4th sexiest city?!" said another.
"Where is Kitchener-Waterloo on these lists!?" added a third.
"Rude! Wood Buffalo/Fort McMurray didn't rank on the PinkCherry lists of sexiest cities and towns in Canada. This is based on purchase behaviour though, so maybe we're just well stocked up," tweeted another.
Others agreed with the list, and were proud to claim Calgary as Canada's sexiest city.
"Yup. No.1 baby. Was there any doubt?" one person shared.
