Pink Stopped Posting Photos of Her Kids Due to "Disgusting" Comments From Mom-Shamers

"I cried so hard…because I like to share my family. It's my proudest achievement in my whole life."

Pink says she will no longer post photos of her two children, Willow and Jameson, on social media—and it's all because of nasty mom shaming.

The most recent round of comments stemmed from a picture the singer posted of her son with a bare bottom. Social media users were quick to weigh in, leading Pink to take down the original post and replace it with one where she called out the vitriol.

"There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real?" she wrote in the caption. "As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper. I deleted it because you’re all fucking disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors. And the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives. There is something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Smfh. Here’s a picture of the pelican we obviously caught and abused for hours before dangling baby penis in its face."

On Monday, April 22, Pink talked to Ellen DeGeneres about the incident and its aftermath. "I didn't look at the picture that way. I looked at it from the side that there was a pelican, it flew into our room, it spent two hours with us, which was incredible," she said. "It was an incredible experience for my family. And I have a two-year-old. And two-year-olds don't like to wear wet swim diapers, and apparently, at some point, he took it off."

She went on to say, "I don't think like that. We live on a farm — kids are naked. I'm naked sometimes, and then people went as far as saying someone should call child services, and some of the nastiest things."

She says the whole situation made her very emotional and led to her decision to no longer share this part of her life on social media. "I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family. It's my proudest achievement in my whole life. I'm prouder of my kids than anything I've ever done. And I won't share them anymore," Pink explained.

"I'm not posting pictures of them anymore," she continued. "And I understand people saying: 'You should have been more careful because you're in the public eye,' and they're right — but there's a nice way to say that. There's a kind way to be online. And I'm open to kindness."
