Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Is Now Home to the World's First Zipline Roller Coaster

So you love the rush of adrenaline? If you've made it to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, you've come to the right place. In addition to theme park staple Dollywood, you can also get a dose of action-packed adventure at Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show and Adventure Park—especially with its brand-new zipline coaster.

Earlier this month the amusement park unveiled what is being proclaimed as the world’s first cable-to-rail zipline roller coaster. Inspired by the Smoky Mountains' logging heritage, the attraction also gives visitors fantastic mountain scenery from its 80-foot-tall observation tower. Dubbed the "Flying Ox," the ride consists of a 1,000-foot-long track 80 feet in the air above Lumberjack Square, while you soar through the sky at around 15 miles per hour.

“With the addition of the Flying Ox, Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud Show & Adventure Park is the only location in the world where thrill seekers can ride a cable-to-rail zipline roller coaster,” said Vice President of Marketing Josh Mayberry in a company press release. “Lumberjack Square strives to provide a unique experience where guests can watch a lumberjack show then try their hand at some of the competitive events they see performed by the professional lumberjacks.”
