  • Piers Morgan tried to drag Meghan Markle because she put Jameela Jamil on the cover of British Vogue.

  • Jameela destroyed him on Twitter.

Meghan Markle just guest-edited the September issue of British Vogue, and while it’s iconic and revolutionary, it also caught a ton of heat because people accused Meghan of ripping off a book she contributed to once. Oh, and Piers Morgan also had some strong and unsolicited opinions about the cover. But fret not! Jameela Jamil legit dragged him for it.

So after the issue dropped, everyone was able to see that instead of gracing the cover herself, Meghan took the opportunity to highlight change-makers like Yara Shahidi, Gemma Chan, and Jameela Jamil. Jameela is known for calling out celebs who promote things like those appetite suppressants and “fit teas.” Her Twitter bio reads, “I fight the people who profit from your shame,” but Piers called Meghan a hypocrite for putting her on the cover. Specifically, he called Meghan’s cover a “hypocritical super-woke Vogue stunt.” Whatever that means.

He also recalled some hurtful and regretful things Jameela has said and apologized for in the past. He tweeted:

“One of Meghan’s ‘kind & inspiring’ female-empowering ‘Vogue’ ‘heroines’ is Jameela Jamil—who called Beyonce a stripper, said Miley Cyrus was a vagina with no platform, & told Rihanna to ‘put your m*nge away.’”

Obviously, Jameela wasn’t going to let this one slide. When she saw his comments, she hopped on Twitter and eviscerated him. She wrote:

“My PINNED tweet is all of the mistakes I made, owning up to being problematic when I was young. I have nothing to hide. You are old and still a problematic slut-shaming, fat-shaming, misogynist, irrelevant sh*t stain smeared across our country.”

And as the cherry on top, she added, “He is just the thirstiest b*tch alive.”

Trying to get the last word, Piers added, “One of Meghan’s 15 ‘inspiring, kind, inclusive’ heroines.”

Whatever Piers may think, Jameela’s still the one on the cover of Vogue, so....
