People reported Timothée Chalamet has been glimpsed for the second time in character as Bob Dylan on the New York City set of James Mangold’s upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown. Chalamet was photographed last week for the first time in character. He looked rather shabby in a pageboy cap and scarf as Dylan, schlepping a guitar and knapsack to a station wagon packed with suitcases.

On Sunday, the Dune star was pictured shooting various scenes in the Meatpacking District, standing outside of the Hotel Chelsea in between set-ups during a night shoot. The scene appeared to consist of Dylan pulling up to the hotel, stepping out of his car, and regarding the hotel before moodily crossing the street.

He was clad in a much more luxurious outfit than in the first snaps, sporting green pants with a stylish brown suede jacket and boots, accented with a black button-up top. His hair seemed to be styled in Dylan’s signature fop, though it must be said it’s not a far cry from Chalamet’s own style.

Earlier in the day, Chalamet was pictured shooting a different scene at a neighborhood park. Clad in what appears to be the same suede jacket, but with a multicolored striped button-up and blue jeans, the actor can be seen sitting on a bench and smoking a cigarette while scrawling in a notebook, his hair slightly more contained.

So far, people weighing in on social media seem to be largely supportive of Chalamet’s portrayal. “I’m genuinely excited for this,” wrote X-user @SuperSalm0n. “The kid can act. Should be interesting.”

“Ok, I see the vision now,” wrote @Ambii. “Sold.”

Chalamet has been having quite a successful last few months. His musical-comedy Wonka enjoyed a much more successful run than anyone imagined. That film is currently streaming on Max, and is entering the fourth month of a marathon theatrical run.

Meanwhile, blockbuster sequel Dune: Part Two garnered rave reviews and enjoyed several weeks on top of the box office. It’s already grossed $574 million worldwide after less than three weeks on release.

Edward Norton, as Bob Seeger, and Elle Fanning, as Sylvie Russo, star with Chalamet in A Complete Unknown. Its release date has not yet been announced.
