Pictures: Meghan Markle spotted in NYC for her baby shower
Baby Sussex is almost here!
One day after we learned that the Duchess of Sussex was spotted lunching at Lauduée and shopping for baby clothes at Bonpoint in New York City, royal watchers were treated to a real royal appearance.
The duchess, who is currently around 7 months pregnant, was spotted leaving The Mark Hotel early Tuesday afternoon. Photographers and royal fans swarmed around the posh Upper East Side hotel for a glimpse of the royal, who was heavily protected by security and bodyguards.
Meghan opted for a monochrome look for her occasion, with sunglasses by Le Specs, Stuart Weitzman heels and a Carolina Herrera handbag.
Also seen arriving at her hotel were truckloads of flowers and decorations in preparation for her baby shower. According to reports, the baby shower is the first of two, with the second being held back in London.
Today's event is expected to feature an A-list turnout, including Priyanka Chopra, Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and co-star Abigail Spencer. The bash is said to be thrown by her best friend Jessica Mulroney, whose three children were included in Meghan's bridal party at her nuptials back in May.
Harper's Bazaar reveals that the celebration is supposed to be so low key, with only 15 guests.
According to reports, Meghan is set to fly back to London on Wednesday morning.
