It's been a topsy turvy year for Michele Bachmann, both in terms of her poll rankings and her personal style.
She entered the GOP race as a fashion enigma -- for years we'd been watching her haphazard sartorial choices and scratching our heads.Alien-inspired sunglasses?Over-the-top ornate jewels?
2011 started out the same -- we didn't quite understandher red carpet look from the Time 100 dinner in April, with the measly purse, tights with sandals and bright blue shawl.
But as the race picked up and Bachmann honed her platform,she focused in on a signature look. Possibly withthe help from her style savvy husband, Marcus, Bachmann pulled it together:bouncy, blown-out hair;squared-off acrylic nails; a wardrobe of black, white and red;thickly layered maquillage; and the occasional strand ofmega pearls.
And whileshe's no Audrey Hepburn or Jackie O, at least Michele Bachmann has a signature look to call her own.
