Maine Coon cats are some of the biggest cats out there. One photographer decided to document the growth of a Maine Coon cat—and the results are amazing.

The little kitten was tiny enough to fit in a woman’s hand when he was first born. Now, he’s fully grown and huge!

This cat is really gorgeous and has little tufts of fur on the tips of his ears. He’s so cute and looks like a really nice cat. He’s so patient with the photographer and sits really still for the perfect photo.

It must have been difficult to get these perfect photos of the cat, but the photographer did a great job. He must have a lot of practice with pet portraiture.

This cat must keep his owner busy. Between brushing, feeding, and playing, Maine Coons require a bit of work to maintain as pets. They are definitely worth it, though, and will give back to you the same love that they receive.

All About Maine Coons

Maine Coons are some of the best pets to have. They are very social and are some of the largest cats out there. They are considered “the most dog-like out of all cats.” That makes them an excellent choice for families with children.

Maine Coons can be independent, but it depends on the individual cat. Maine Coons are a really playful breed, so don’t be surprised if your cat is always active and wanting to play.

These cats have a unique look to them, and many are mistaken as bobcats. It’s wild how much some of them actually look like bobcats. The cats require a lot of exercise, so it’s important to train them how to walk on a leash and harness.

You can give your cat plenty of exercise if you have a secured fenced-in yard as well. They will love the opportunity to play outside. Another way to make sure that your Maine Coon is stimulated mentally is to play games with them and even introduce them to a new kitten.

Because of their water-resistant fur, Maine Coons love the water. Catch them hanging out in the bathtub waiting for the faucet to start. That is so unique to other cats.

These cats have snowshoe-like paws that can make it easy for them to maneuver around the snow. These cats really like the snow, and have a thick coat.

There’s one special thing about Maine Coons. It’s that they love to sing. They make noises unlike any other cat!
