Photographer Captures Heart-Wrenching Image of 6-Year-Old Boy Sobbing as His Mom Walks Down the Aisle
Weddings certainly have the ability to bring out raw emotions in humans; After all, two people—oftentimes close family members or friends—are binding their love in a formal commitment ceremony, soliciting all types of reaction from guests ranging from a steady flow of tears to laughter. But in the case of 6-year-old Bryson Suber, whose crying image is currently going viral, the wedding that moved him to tears was incredibly personal.
“Bryson was the son of the bride,” photographer Paul Woo of Wandering Woo Photography told PopSugar on Tuesday, March 13. “As everyone stood up and waited for the bride to come down the aisle, he started expressing so much emotion.”
Woo, who was shooting the wedding solo, immediately turned his lens to the child. The resulting snapshot featured little Bryson bawling while leaning forward to catch a glimpse of his mom, Tearra, making her grand entrance.
“This moment was difficult because I was secretly bawling behind the camera,” Woo said. “And had to prioritize this moment over the bride coming down the aisle.”
A true pro, the creative force still managed to capture both mother and son in two separate shots. “Yes, I got both photos,” he concluded. “But I knew this moment was THE moment.”
