Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Shag Pixie Cut Is Legendary

As Phoebe Waller-Bridge once wrote in an episode of Fleabag, "Hair is everything. We wish it wasn't, so we could actually think about something else occasionally, but it is. It's the difference between a good day and a bad day. We're meant to think that it's a symbol of power." If that's true, the actor just made a serious power move on the red carpet at the British Academy Brittania Awards.

Waller-Bridge, the star and creator behind Fleabag, walked the red carpet with a brand-new hairstyle — and as fans of the show know, Waller-Bridge understands the make or break power of a new cut.

She's long been a short hair devotee, but Waller-Bridge chopped her hair even more. The new style is somewhere between a shag and a pixie. It's close-cropped enough to meet the requirements of a pixie and the tousling is just punk rock enough to call it a shag. However you say it, we love it. And knowing how much Waller-Bridge cares about her hair makes us love it even more.

The shag part comes from the actor's angled, sideswept bangs. It's a look I'd be scared to attempt without a stylist on speed dial, but Waller-Bridge makes it look effortless and ever-so-slightly mussed. We need to know what styling products sculpted this beauty.

Waller-Bridge left the evening with the award for the British Artist of the Year, but we really hope she took a moment to celebrate her perfect hair — in addition to her new trophy.
