Phoebe Waller-Bridge Wore a Fancy Version of the ‘Fleabag’ Jumpsuit to the Critics’ Choice Awards

If you’ve seen Fleabag season two, then you probably fell in love with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s jumpsuit. It seems the 34-year-old creator and star of the series did, too.

Not only did Waller-Bridge decide to keep the jumpsuit after shooting wrapped, but it even seems to have inspired her 2020 Critic’s Choice Awards ensemble.

Fleabag fans obsessed over Waller-Bridge’s $50 sleeveless keyhole Love jumpsuit (which can be seen below) when the series hit Amazon.

And last night at the 25th annual Critics’ Choice Awards, the celebrated writer and actress kinda paid homage to her character’s look with a sheer Dior gown/romper.

Waller-Bridge’s stunning Dior number featured a wired corset bust with organza shorts, all covered with mesh tulle. The one-shoulder gown-romper-mix was floor length but still managed to show off her impeccable posture and long legs.

The Fleabag creator accessorized her gown with the Anna Shefield Bea arrow ring ($2,400) with gray moonstone and champagne diamonds and Tiny Wheat eternity band in yellow gold ($1,500). She also rocked Nancy Newberg polished ruthenium ear curls with white diamonds (here’s a similar version for $1,600) and a black Swarovski embellished Tyler Ellis Perry clutch ($3,570).

Her most notable outfit accoutrement, of course, was the Critics’ Choice statue she won for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Fleabag also snagged the Best Comedy Series award and Waller-Bridge got lots of laughs when she gave Jennifer Lopez credit for helping her break open the Priest’s character (Andrew Scott) in season two.

In addition to the series’s new CCAs, the Amazon hit has also won a BAFTA, two Emmys and two Golden Globes.

Brava, Phoebe.
