Peter’s Mom Is Convinced That His and [SPOILER’S] Relationship Is Going to “Fail”

Bachelor finale spoilers ahead!

• Peter Weber’s mom, Barbara, was at the live finale show tonight, and she basically said that Peter and Madison Prewett are going to “fail.”

• To be fair, she said she wants it to work out but knows that it won’t.

I don’t know what your plans are for the rest of the week, but I’m going to need a couple of days to recover from the dramatic mess that was part two of The Bachelor finale tonight. Not only did Chris Harrison drag contestant Kelley Flanagan into the drama for some reason, but Hannah Brown also came up because Peter Weber apparently hasn’t been over her this whole time—it was a lot to process!

But even after Peter proposes to Hannah Ann, dumps Hannah Ann, reunites with Madison, and tells Madison that he still loves her, it looks like things are aren’t going to be easy for them, and that’s mainly because Peter’s mom, Barbara, was VERY vocal about her dislike for Madison tonight.

When Chris Harrison asks Barbara how she feels about Peter and Madison’s reunion, she decided to point out a few of the reasons why she liked Hannah Ann more, including that Madison kept Peter’s family waiting for three hours before meeting them (and didn’t apologize about it), that Madison didn’t want to meet Peter’s family in the first place, and that Madison said that she wasn’t madly in love with Peter and wouldn’t accept his proposal. Which honestly sounds pretty fair!

But after some back and forth between Barb and Madison (who really kept her cool), Chris asks Barbara how they can “turn the page” and “give this a shot together,” to which Barb replies, “He’s going to have to fail to succeed. That’s it. Chris, all his friends, all his family, everyone that knows him knows that it’s not going to work, so we’ve been trying to help him. Would we want it to work? Yes.” Yikes!!!

And to make things even more dramatic, Reality Steve also shared a DM Barbara sent about Madison, which said the same things that she mentioned on the show but also added, “Trust me when I say all that glitters is not gold!”

So, um, it should be interesting to see how Peter and Madison’s relationship pans out!
