Peter Weber’s Season of The Bachelor Hasn’t Even Aired, and It’s Already So Dramatic

Chris Harrison says every year that the upcoming season of The Bachelor is the "most dramatic yet," but he doesn't have to tee up anything about Peter Weber's. Nope. His Bachelor season, which kicks off early 2020, is already garnering so much buzz—and drama.

Just yesterday news broke that Weber had to undergo emergency surgery after falling and splitting his face open on cocktail glasses. “He went to step on the cart but fell and and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying,” a source told Radar Online, which People then reported. Weber reportedly traveled two hours to a hospital after the fall, where he received 22 face stitches.

"The reason he traveled for two hours to a hospital was that this specific hospital had a surgeon that specialized in his injuries. He underwent surgery," an insider told Us Weekly.

According to Radar Online, the alleged incident happened in Costa Rica, one day before the women competing for Weber's heart were to arrive. “He is pulling through,” a second source told the outlet.

"Peter suffered a freak accident. He got a cut on his head. He did get stitches, but he’s 100% OK and production is already back underway," Harrison said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter. "He’s still the dashing, handsome pilot we’ve all dreamed of."

That's certainly good news—but this is just one of several Weber stories happening in Bachelor Nation right now. The notorious Bachelor blogger Reality Steve keeps tweeting spoiler after spoiler about this season. Canceled dates, early eliminations, fights—I won't include the specifics here (or even tell you where to find them), but if they're true, we're in for one intense, confrontational season. The only thing I will say is that Reality Steve has a tendency to be right when it comes to Bachelor spoilers, so…

Of course, we won't know anything for sure until Weber's season of The Bachelor premieres. With all this tea spilling online, you better believe I'm counting down the days until January, which is when the show will presumably begin. We're in for a bumpy ride, my friends—or should I say, flight.
