Pete Davidson Wore Kanye West’s *Exact* Met Gala Look to the Emmys

Pete Davidson showed up at the 2022 Emmy Awards last night to present the award for Outstanding Comedy Series to Ted Lasso, which was his first major public appearance since breaking up with Kim Kardashian back in August. And the internet was quick to notice that his outfit was...familiar. As in, he wore literally the exact same Dickies jacket and pants that Kanye West wore to the Met Gala with Kim.

As Page Six notes, Kimye’s 2019 Emmys appearance caused some tension in their relationship thanks to Kanye not wanting Kim to dress in a corset. They spoke about her look the night before, when Kanye said, “You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.” Kim’s response? “You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff, and just because you’re on a journey and transformation doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you.”

Kim and Kanye are currently in the process of getting divorced, while Kim and Pete (who got together after she hosted Saturday Night Live and kissed him in a sketch) dated for a little less than a year before ending their relationship. After their split, a source told People that Pete “has been in trauma therapy in large part” due to Kanye’s negative social media posts but that said posts weren’t one of the reasons Pete and Kim broke up. On that note, think Pete’s outfit was an intentional troll, or....?
