Apparently Pete Davidson found himself in a slightly stressful situation last week while chilling in Upstate New York, where he's been working on his new movie Big Time Adolescence with Machine Gun Kelly. Per TMZ, Pete was pulled over by police in Syracuse at around 4 am, and they ended up searching his car thanks to smelling weed.
TMZ's sources say Pete-who was driving the car-passed a field sobriety test. But his friend was arrested for "felony possession of a controlled substance and cited for unlawful possession of weed." At this time, it's unclear what the controlled substance was.
Pete currently appears to be back in NYC with his bride-to-be Ariana Grande, who he accompanied to VMA rehearsals on August 18.
The pair were joined by Ariana's mom and grandmother, as well as Machine Gun Kelly. Everyone looked pretty happy, so clearly the drama of Pete's near-brush with the law isn't ruining anyone's vibe.
